Brendan May, Executive Director
Before working with Common Good Data, we didn’t really have a structured system for evaluating our progress, measuring impact, or organizing program data in a way that clearly reflected the work we were doing. As our programs began to grow, it became clear that we needed stronger evaluation and reporting systems to support sustainability and accountability.
Common Good Data’s support helped us put those systems in place. From building out evaluation frameworks to helping us organize and centralize our data and reporting processes, the assistance has strengthened our operations across the board. It has improved efficiency, helped us better understand our impact, and made it much easier to communicate our work to partners and funders.
Over the past two years, the collaboration has been extremely valuable for BFIT Big Dreams. The work Common Good Data done has helped position our organization for stronger growth and long-term sustainability.
I look forward to continuing the partnership.
Results
Common Good Data worked with BFit to conduct a needs assessment, design forms and surveys, and formalize a regular reporting process on student attendance and physical health metrics. The results of this work can be highlighted in the 2025 Bfit Annual Report.
Since 2023, Bfit total youth attendance has steadily grown and reached a high of 137 youth in 2025.
In 2025, BFit served 92 boys and 45 girls. Their program primarily serves Black or African American youth (94%) in neighborhoods with demonstrated needs for afterschool and athletic programming.
Data from the August 2025 needs assessment show that most youth need assistance with extra training opportunities, registration fees, and the costs of equipment.
Bfit has taught me many things in life. Not only have I learned how to workout correctly, but I also learn things that can be used in the real world. – Bfit Youth
